Hello! My name is Celia Ledesma-Solorio, and currently I teach 5th at San Vicente Elementary School. I was born in Mexico but moved to Soledad at the age of eight years old. My parents decided to pursue the American Dream, so they left Mexico because it meant a better opportunities for the family.
My parents are the hardest working people I know and worked in this valley for many years, although they did not have an education they always encouraged and instilled higher education as my mission. My love for teaching emerged from having taught migrant students through Mini Corps, I became passionate about helping kids that grew up like me with the same challenges and disadvantages. I graduated from CSUMB with a B.A., in Liberal Studies and a B.A. in World Languages and cultures. I love traveling and spending time with my husband and three children. I feel blessed to have my family and the opportunity to make the world a better place.
