One of our goals is to make sure our students develop into civically-engaged individuals who believe they can and should take an active role in shaping the destiny of their community. One of the ways we do that is by inviting elected officials, community leaders, and program representatives to our Saturday meetings. This provides a perfect venue for them to engage with, and share their personal/professional experiences with our students while highlighting opportunities to get involved in the community.
